Sammy Hagar is going to get off the road, sort of.

Sammy Hagar’s performance at the San Antonio Stock show and Rodeo, February 20th, may be the last time we see the Red Rock in San Antonio. I’ve seen Sammy here with Montrose, Van Halen, , almost every phase of his career. It is hard to imagine him not telling the story of when he first played in San Antonio during a ruckus performance. Looks like for now I will have to plan a trip to Vegas.

In a recent interview with the Mami Herald Sammy Hagar said is ready to give up tour. I didn’t say performing. He said he would like to do more residences like his upcoming series of shows at Dolby Live in Las Vegas. “I don’t think I want to go on tour anymore. I hate to say that, because I don’t want to piss my fans off,” Hagar told the Herald. “I’ll go out and do a one-off show and do things like that, but the residency is going to give me a good extension of my career. That’s what I’m hoping for.”

Here is some video from the best of all worlds tour.
