Robert Plant "Tall Cool One" - Joe's Garage July 10th

As I continue my week-long look at lead singers who began their careers with a band...but then went on to successful solo careers, I put the spotlight on arguably one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. Interesting fact...following the death of John Bonham and the subsequent break-up of Led Zeppelin, Robert was ready to quit music all together and go into teaching. It was Phil Collins who convinced him to continue with a solo career...and went on to play drums on many of Plant’s solo projects. Today...we’ll visit 1988 and Robert’s fourth solo album “Now and Zen” for a live performance of “Tall Cool One.”
