Greatest Guitar Players: Slash - Joe's Garage August 15th

Born Saul Hudson in England in 1965...Slash and his father move to the US to join his mother when he was around six years old. At the age of 20...Slash joined Guns N’ Roses...replacing original founding member Traci Guns. Skyrocketing to success with GnR from 1985-1994...Slash quickly became thought of as one of the top guitar players in Rock. When the whole Guns thing began to fall apart in ‘94, Slash was the one who didn’t miss a beat...creating other projects like Slash’s Snakepit, Velvet Revolver, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators...and finally back to Guns N’ Roses in 2016. He’s also collaborated on projects with a who’s who of the music industry...including such icons as Lenny Kravitz, Madonna, Bob Dylan, and Michael Jackson. Having seen him perform live with all four groups...I can honestly say that he is my all-time favorite to see in concert. It’s almost impossible for me to choose a favorite Slash riff...so I’ll share my favorite from his time with Velvet Revolver.
