Greatest Drummers: Ginger Baker - Joe's Garage July 15th

This week in Joe’s Garage I’m focusing on some of the greatest rock drummers of all-time. When all you have is a three-piece band...the drums provide not just the rhythm and beat of the song...but also become a bigger part of the musical fabric. Such was the case with Cream...which featured singer/songwriter Jack Bruce and guitar god Eric Clapton. But it was the great Ginger Baker who provided the thunder...being one of the first to utilize two bass drums instead of the standard single kick. Check out this live version of “Sunshine of Your Love” from their legendary 1968 farewell performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
