Lita Ford plays the First Annual 106.7 The Eagle Rock the Halls Christmas Concert on December 15, 2023!

The amazing Lita Ford burst onto the scene as the lead guitarist for the band The Runaways at the age of 16 in 1975. In 1982, she launched her solo career, and released her debut album, Out for Blood in 1983. She went on to release the albums, Dancin’ on the Edge, and smash album, Lita, which featured the songs “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Back to the Cave”, and the huge hit with Ozzy Osbourne, “Close My Eyes Forever”, which reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 1990, she released the successful Stiletto album, featuring, “Hungry”, and “Lisa”, a song dedicated to her mother. Before her hiatus, she released the albums Dangerous Curves, and Black.

Her hiatus to raise her two songs lasted until June 2008, when she returned to the stage at Rocklahoma. She then released Wicked Wonderland in 2009.

I just wanted to kick ass! I don’t know what’s popular, or the flavor of the day. I just wanted the music to rock! The lyrics are very personal and that’s it. I wasn’t going to come out in sandals with hairy armpits!

In 2011 promised her “real comeback album”, and in 2012 Living Like a Runaway was released on SPV/Spinefarm Records, and the album is defintely more in line with her early work.

She received The Certified Legend Award from Guitar Player in 2014.

In 2016, Lita released her Time Capsule, a collection of songs she discovered on old analog tapes from the 1980s, featuring recordings made with musicians like Billy Sheehan, Gene Simmons, Bruce Kulick, Robin Zander, Rick Nielsen, Dave Navarro, and Jeff Scott Soto.
