The first time I saw Heart in concert was, well was a while back. They were touring on their third album, Little Queen, I think. They were hot, a couple girls from Seattle kicking some rock and roll ass. Here it is a, few, years later and they are still doing it. Like everyone, I love the big songs, barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy On You, but I would like to see a couple of those nuggets on the play list tonight. No, I’m not looking for anything after 1980, everything after 1980 just wasn’t as good in my opinion. One thing is for sure, they were and still are, a great band to see live.
So here are a couple of songs I hope they get to tonight.
First, from the Album Little Queen, a song that hooked me on the first note, Love Alive.
This is one of those songs you can’t get out of your head after you hear it. This came with a message I needed to hear back then. Life has it’s ups and downs, if you don’t get it right the first time, laugh and try again. The Tile track from the 1978 album Dog and Butterfly.
Here is a bonus, from the Kennedy Center honors Led Zeppelin, this is an amazing version of Stairway to Heaven.
